Lazarus A.D. news @lazarusad

Metal drummers I have some bad news,

Ryan Shutler, drummer for Lazarus A.D.is said to have passed away at the young age of 29.  There is not a whole lot of information at this time on the cause of death, but rumor has it, that he may have died as a result of a heart attack. This has also been posted on Metalsucks.net so there could be some weight to this story.

Whether you are a Lazarus fan or not, maye you haven’t even heard of them. News like this is not pleasant.  Metal heads, drummers  let’s take a moment to listen to a killer Lazarus track throw up our horns and keep Ryan  Shutler’s family and Lazarus A.D. in our thoughts.

Sepultura, and Arsis at the Jewel night club in Manchester, NH?!?

So I just stumbled upon this gem of information. At the Jewel nightclub
( 61 Canal Street ) in Manchester May 31st will be Arsis and Sepultura. Arsis, who actually started out as a two man band and blew everyone who discovered them then ( myself included) away, will be playing with Sepultura. Now for fans of all ages reading this anyone can argue when Sepultura was the best line up  and when, for what album so on and so forth. Many of you may not have ever even seen them live. Here’s you chance to see them live. Now me personally I am a Max Cavalera fan, doesnt mean that Derrick Green is not good. he handles vox  right for them. I am also an Igor Cavalera fan however Elow Casagrande is a pretty good drummer. Maybe I am showing my age a bit, but I would still see Sepultura if given the chance. Arsis if you are unfamiliar had played this song on their debut album ” a celebration of guilt” https://youtu.be/Adb91VCZMQc  which they also re-recorded for a later album.  They also do not shy away from doing the occasional cover as you can see here they did Corey Harts hit Sunglasses at night; https://youtu.be/NeRZ7fqUp9g

Nile tour and album news

They will be touring in late summer and run throughSeptember. Their tour will be titled  “What Should Not BE Unearthed” Tour  and unfortunatley for North Americans it will be taking place in Europe .  The album will be released this Summer and then they start  touring in Europe on August 29th at Massivefest in Warszawa, Poland and dates continue through Sept 27, 2015 The tour will have  Suffocation and a unknown at this time  undercard. The tour is being booked and promoted by Massive Music.Tour date s are listed below for Europian Fans, or anyone planning on taking a trip to Europe this summer and may be in the areas.  At any rate, if you arent going to see them on their tour then at least its a safe bet to make that you can listen to, or pick up their new album when it gets released.

Cryptopsy’s back to the us tour!

Cryptopsy are on to the 3rd show of their tour, right now they are in Brooklyn, NY. man i wish i could have been there but i am planning on making it out to another show of theirs during this tour. Keep in mind they are an independant band, they do not have a record label and they are taking it all on themselves. What does that mean, it means you have guys using their own money to accomplish these feats. They are also crowdfunding E.P.’s to try and put out new music more often. Their current crowdfunding campaign is for  a new E.P. titled ” The Book of Suffering”.     Make sure to be a part of this great campaign, If you are not sure about whether or not to bother. Christmas came early for Badger!

For some of you, Alterius is not a name you are familiar with. Well let me explain to you why you should be.

  1. They are a killer band based out of Massachusetts (local for me)
  2. They have an incredible sound not like many of the other bands out there.
  3. The guitarists do some serious shredding and have a lot of talent.
  4. They have a fucking sick drummer who is on point during live shows, and is willing to help out other fellow drummers.(he ran and grabbed his snare drum for Lord Dying at the Palladium in Worcester)
  5. Vocals are as heavy as a new england metal breakdown pit!
  6. They did their own recording, mixing, and mastering for their E.P. and it sounds like a proffesionally done badass piece of work!

Metal drummer Alex Rudinger posts a new video

SO as some of you may know I am a drummer which makes me gravitate to other drummers, and throughout metal are a lot of great drummers. Alex Rudinger is a badass drummer, he filled in for Revocation while their drummer was healing from an injury. He has played for Monuments, as well as the Faceless. He has posted videos of his playthroughs for songs like ” Atlas” by Monuments, as well as play throughs for even an “Eminem” song say what you say ( check it out here https://youtu.be/ti7AJS1kQYI ) today he posted a video for  Dismantle the dictator by Revocation. Cattle annoucement

So Cattle Decapitation ( dont get hung up on the name, most of them are actually vegans) posted this on their facebook page  and the exciting part aside from a tour is NEW ALBUM DETAILS!  Wait and a NEW TRACK! All this will be released one week from yesterday  the year of our lord May 13th 2015.  ( May 20th!)  I am excited because I am still getting crushed by ” Carbon Stampede”s breakdown from their last album ” Monolith of inhumanity”.     If you are in the bay area this look like a Festival  to definitely check out.
