New Lamb of God track titled “512” as been released and it sounds pretty badass.
Reported by Rolling Stone, “512” was Blythe’s prison cell number while he was in Pankrác Prison in the Czech Republic after being charged for manslaughter in the death of a fan at a 2011 concert. D. Randall Blythe was eventually found not guilty, and the new album, VII: Sturm und Drang, features lyrics Blythe wrote while incarcerated during that time. It seems to be a killer album so far, and the fact that Randy Blythe can write some powerful lyrics. I’d say it’s safe to say that being in prison may have added fuel to Blythe’s lyric writing fire. The band sounds more together than they have in the past as if this experience brought them closer and they were able to harness it and deliver something great. Check out the video. And be sure to ore order their new album.
